I started to pay more attention to good pictures and bad pictures after my bad experience with my own Quinceanera.
Those pictures were so bad, that I never even showed them to anybody. At age 18, I started my education in Communications, with photography as a regular class. I got my first professional camera "for school" and pretty soon, photography became my biggest passion. I took every photography class available and in a short time I was shooting every "special event" in my home town Tamarindo.
My passion for photography and my desire to go to the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, brought me to the Central Coast. Working at a growing Travel Agency, I came to Santa Maria while waiting to transfer to the Santa Barbara office. Before I could get the chance, "Mr. Paul Byrum" walked into the Travel Agency to buy a trip to Costa Rica. We met, we fell in love, and have now days been married almost 20 years and have 3 wonderful children, Brianna, Paul, and Marc.
I’ll take any opportunity to make family trips; Photo Conventions, destination weddings or similar events. Don’t be surprised to see my daughter with the extra camera and/or my boys carrying my equipment around. They are the biggest part of my life and my photography life as well.
